How the publication is funded

comelivesports is funded by reader subscriptions and by occasional foundation grants for specific reporting projects. The funding model is designed to keep the editorial calendar free of advertiser pressure.

How we maintain the separation of editorial and commercial

• Editorial decisions are made by the desk editors, not by the commercial team.
• The commercial team has no input into which stories are covered or how they are framed.
• We do not run native advertising or sponsored content. Every article is labelled as editorial.
• We do not accept payment for coverage. Coverage is bought by the subscriber, not by an advertiser.

What we will never do

• We will never accept payment to publish a story.
• We will never run affiliate tipster codes.
• We will never publish picks in exchange for payment.
• We will never promote a betting operator or a fantasy cash contest.
• We will never run native advertising disguised as editorial content.

Where the money goes

The subscription revenue funds the editorial team, the newsroom infrastructure, and the photography and data we publish. The foundation grants fund specific reporting projects that the desk has identified as under-covered.
