The trap

The multi-entry trap is to spread the entries too wide. The result is that no single entry has the conviction to win, and the bankroll is spent across too many weak signals. The way out is to spread the entries across the strong signals, not across the field.

The strategy

  • Pick two or three roles that you have the strongest read on.
  • Pick two or three players per role, with the role-security read the strongest signal.
  • Spread the entries across the role-player combinations, not across the field.
  • Cap the bankroll at the level where the loss is absorbable.

What we're watching

  • Whether the strong signals are strong enough to justify the entries.
  • Whether the bankroll is capped at the absorbable level.
  • Whether the spread is across the strong signals, not across the field.
