Format

The 2026 Formula 1 season introduces the new technical regulations, with the aerodynamic and power-unit rules reshaped to encourage closer racing. The calendar has expanded to 24 races, with Madrid returning to the schedule and the Belgian Grand Prix rotating to a different slot.

Pre-season testing takes place in Bahrain in late February. The season opens in Australia in mid-March and runs through late November in Abu Dhabi. The constructors' championship will be decided by the relative performance of the new power units and the chassis packages.
