Format

The ATP Tour is the top-tier men's professional tennis circuit. The race to the ATP Finals runs from January to November, with points accumulated across the ATP 250, ATP 500, Masters 1000 and Grand Slam events. The top eight players in the race qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin.

This season, the race has been shaped by the surface-by-surface workload decisions the top players have made. The major swings are the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open, with the Masters 1000 events carrying the most ranking points outside the slams.
